What was recalled
The 5-gallon gas cans are made from heavy-duty red plastic and carry date codes AIP09202 through AIP09222. The date code is located on the bottom of the can. Not all cans in this date range are affected.
Hazard
The gas containers can leak fuel at the black plastic collar where the spout connects to the can, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers
