What was recalled

The recalled products are fluorescent worklights with model number L-2001. The model number is located on the crossbar below the floodlight heads on a white sticker. It is a twin head, green telescoping worklight. All units with manufacturing dates from May 2000 and before are included in this recall. The manufacturing date is located on the same sticker as the model number.

Hazard

The worklight's power cord has loose connections, which could result in live wires being exposed. It poses electrocution and shock hazards to consumers. Also, the firm mislabeled the worklight. The product improperly bears the UL mark and is marked "suitable for wet locations."

Injuries

None reported.

Where it was sold

  • Home Depot stores nationwide and Northern Tool magazine sold these worklights, from April 2000 through May 2000, for about $150.
