CPSC, Shindaiwa Inc. Announce Recall of Hedge Trimmers
What was recalled
The hedge trimmers have red engine covers, a red fuel cap and a label on the recoil starter that reads "Professional Shindaiwa." The recall includes all model DH 230/231 and HT 230/231 with serial numbers up to 3080000. The serial numbers are printed on a nameplate on the engine cover.
Hazard
The fuel cap on the hedge trimmer can leak, posing a fire and burn hazard.

None.

- Shindaiwa dealers nationwide, from August 1997 to August 2003, for between $370 and $450 depending on the model.
