CPSC, Pottery Barn Announce Recall of Halloween Candleholders
What was recalled
The black wire "Scary Tree Tea-Light Holder" is about 18 inches high. The tree branches hold six tea-light candles in orange glass pots.
Hazard
There have been reports that some tea-light candles burning in the candleholder could flare up, posing a fire hazard and a risk of burn injuries to consumers.
Injuries
Pottery Barn has received 10 reports of candles in the candleholder flaring. One consumer reported receiving a minor burn from the candle wax.

- Pottery Barn stores, web site and catalogs sold the candleholders nationwide, from August 2002 through early October 2002, for about $29.
