CPSC, Hill-Rom Announce Recall of Rocking Chairs
What was recalled
The wooden rocking chairs were sold in two styles, a contemporary model (PI155131) and a more traditional model (P155132). Both style rocking chairs have a clear varnish finish. The rocking chairs can be identified by washers and screws located under the seat, near the legs.
Hazard
The chairs' support assembly can fail and cause the rocking chair to collapse, posing the risk of injury to the user.
Injuries
Hill-Rom has received 40 reports of rocking chairs collapsing, including two reports of consumers receiving bumps and bruises to the head and shoulders.
