What was recalled

This recall involves two models of Porter Athletic climbing ropes.Model number 00118 is a white soft dacron rope with vinyl boot end sold in 12', 16', 20' and 24' lengths. Model number 00119 is a white soft dacron rope with vinyl boot end and rubber knots every 12" sold in 12', 16', 20' and 24' lengths.

Hazard

The climbing rope can slip through the clamp that connects at the top, posing a fall hazard for climbers.

Injuries

Porter has received three reports of the rope slipping through the clamp, including one that resulted in back and wrist injuries.
