Candle Holders Recalled by ATICO International USA
What was recalled
The candle holders are made of a hard plastic in the shape of a squirrel sitting on the edge of a leaf. The squirrel is holding a marshmallow on a metal stick over the glass cup. A tealight candle can be placed in the cup. The candle holder measures 4.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide. A label on the bottom of the candle holder reads, "Distributed by Food Hold USA, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia."
Hazard
The plastic marshmallow can ignite when it is used with a burning candle, presenting a fire and burn hazard.
Injuries
ATICO International USA Inc. has received two reports of fires. No injuries have been reported.
Where it was sold
- TOPS stores in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio sold the candle holders during the month of September 2000 for about $5.
